Manual & FAQ

Everything you need to get the most from the Pregnancy Roadmap. Browse the user manual or jump straight to frequently asked questions.

Getting Started in 3 Steps

1

Choose your date type

Enter either your Estimated Due Date (given by your doctor or midwife) or the First Day of Your Last Period. Either works — we'll calculate everything from whichever you provide.

2

Add your name and baby's nickname (optional)

These personalise your roadmap. Your name and nickname stay on your device only — nothing is shared.

3

Tap "Generate My Roadmap"

Your personalised roadmap appears instantly with your current week, progress ring, trimester bars, This Week card, countdown, and full milestone timeline.

Understanding the Roadmap Screen

  • Progress Ring — Circular dial showing how far along your pregnancy is as a % of 40 weeks.
  • Trimester Bars — Three colour-coded progress bars for T1 (amber), T2 (rose), T3 (teal).
  • This Week Card — Baby's size (as a fruit!), key development events, and upcoming appointments.
  • Countdown Row — Weeks remaining, days to due date, and the date your next pregnancy week begins.
  • Milestone Timeline — All key events across 40 weeks. Past milestones are greyed with a green dot; current week is highlighted in amber.

The Weekly Companion

  • Weekly Check-in — Each week, log your mood (5-emoji scale), any symptoms, and a personal note. Free users can log the current week. Basic+ users can view their full check-in history. Premium users can export their diary as a printable keepsake.
  • Pregnancy To-Do List — Curated tasks per trimester with checkboxes. Free users get the 5 core tasks per trimester. Basic+ unlocks the full 12-task list.

The Wellness Guide

The Wellness tab provides trimester-by-trimester DOs and DON'Ts across eight categories: sport & exercise, nutrition, sleep, mental wellbeing, travel, beauty & skincare, social life, and birth preparation. Use the dropdown or pill buttons to switch between trimesters. It automatically opens on your current trimester. The full Wellness Guide is free for all plans.

⚠ Medical Disclaimer

This tool is for informational and organisational purposes only. It does not replace advice from your doctor, midwife, or healthcare provider. Every pregnancy is unique. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional with any concerns about your health or your baby's development.

What information do I need to get started?

Just one date — your estimated due date (EDD) from your doctor, or the first day of your last period (LMP). Everything else is optional.

Where is my data stored? Is it private?

Everything is stored only on your device in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to any server. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, you'll need to re-enter your details.

What does "Next week starts on" mean?

Pregnancy weeks change on a fixed day relative to your due date. This counter tells you the exact calendar date when you'll move into the next pregnancy week — so you know exactly when Week 12 (or any week) officially begins for you.

What does "Week X" actually mean?

Pregnancy weeks are counted from the first day of your last menstrual period. Conception typically happens around week 2, so when your doctor says "4 weeks pregnant" your baby is about 2 weeks old. This standard method (gestational age) is used universally by healthcare providers and is what this tool uses. A full-term pregnancy is 40 weeks.

My due date changed — how do I update it?

Click "↺ Start Over" in the roadmap header, enter your new date, and regenerate. Your previous check-ins and to-do progress are preserved in your browser — only the dates will recalculate.

Why are some milestones locked?

The Free plan includes full first trimester detail. Second and third trimester milestones require a Basic or Premium plan. Click any locked milestone's "Upgrade" badge to learn more.

What can I log in the Weekly Check-in?

Each week you can log your mood (5 levels from rough to great), any symptoms you're experiencing (fatigue, nausea, back pain, and more), and a personal note — a memory, a feeling, or anything you want to remember. Free users can log the current week. Basic+ users can also view their history of past check-ins. Premium users can export the full diary.

Is the Wellness Guide available on the Free plan?

Yes — the full Wellness Guide with all three trimesters and all eight categories is completely free. It's our gift to every expecting parent.

Can I use this on my phone or tablet?

Absolutely. The tool is fully responsive and works on smartphones, tablets, and desktops. The layout adjusts automatically to your screen size.

I'm past my due date — what does the tool show?

The tool will show Week 40+ and the final milestone card. Please stay in close contact with your healthcare provider if you go past 40 weeks. We hope your little one arrives safely very soon! 💛

Is this a medical app?

No. The Pregnancy Roadmap is an informational and organisational tool, not a medical device. Always consult your doctor, midwife, or obstetrician for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
