A low-carb grocery list, built by turning one slider down

Grocery Planner · free · no signup

There's no "low-carb" diet to pick here, and that's sort of the point

Search for a low-carb grocery list and most tools want to sell you a rigid "keto" mode with a fixed macro split, as if everyone going low-carb wants the same 20g-a-day ceiling. This builder does it differently: there's no keto or low-carb diet preset to select, because low-carb isn't really a diet type, it's a macro choice. You dial the carb target down on the slider, and the protein and fat targets pick up the slack.

Set carbs low and the free basket rebuilds itself around meat, fish, eggs, dairy, non-starchy veg and fats, dropping the rice, bread and potatoes that would blow the target, without you having to hunt them down and remove them by hand. That's arguably more honest than a fixed preset anyway — 50g of carbs a day and 150g are both "low-carb", and only a slider actually tells the difference. Pick a base diet if you've got one (omnivore, pescatarian, vegetarian and vegan all work here), then pull the carb target down and let protein and fat fill in around it. Just try it — drop the carb slider and watch the basket change.

Common questions

Is there a keto or low-carb diet option?
Not as a preset — there's no dedicated keto or low-carb diet type to pick. Instead you lower the carb target on the macro sliders, and the free basket rebuilds around fewer carbs and more protein and fat.
How low should I set my carb target?
That depends how strict you want to go — anywhere under roughly 100-150g a day is generally considered low-carb, with keto-style eating usually well under 50g. Set the slider wherever suits you and the basket follows.
